VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION OF Mimosa Caesalpiniifolia BY MINI-CUTTINGS TECHNIQUE

چکیده
ABSTRACT This study aimed to establish a methodology for vegetative propagation via mini-cuttings technique Mimosa Caesalpiniifolia. For such, three independent experiments were conducted: the first one evaluated survival and production of mini-stumps; second tested interaction between types (apical intermediate) different concentrations indolbutyric acid (IAB; 0, 2,000, 4,000 6,000 mg.L-1) on adventitious rooting; third analyzed effect leaf area reduction (0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) mini-cuttings. Mini-stumps at 180 days was 80%, with an average yield 5 sprouts per mini-stump 120 days. Apical demonstrated higher rooting percentage, without IBA application, than 80%. On other hand, application promotes increased percentage in intermediate Treatments 25% promoted better results concerning plant development. Results support hypothesis that is viable

Propagation of Quercus phillyreoides by Stem Cuttings
Nature of Work: Quercus phillyreoides A. Gray (ubame oak) is an attractive, evergreen species indigenous to Japan and China. It grows as a shrub or small tree reaching a height of 6 to 9 m (20 to 30 ft) (3). Although relatively unknown in the United States, it appears Q. phillyreoides has great potential for use in landscapes in the southern United States in addition to being well suited for ur...
متن کاملGrading of vegetative cuttings using computer vision
This paper reports on recent progress in the development of system to group populations of vegetative cuttings. The system is required to assign a classification to cuttings such that they appear uniform after a growing period using single two-dimensional monochrome images. We have developed a fast segmentation technique that is able to measure plant features and a supervised learning scheme th...
متن کاملAutomated visual grading of vegetative cuttings
Commercial vegetative propagation of oricultural crops requires the segregation of plant cuttings into categories based on size. The cuttings however must be graded when they are planted ("stuck"), at which time the grade of a cutting is not easy to determine. This paper reports on a system that learns to classify cuttings from being shown examples of images of cuttings that have been graded by...

متن کاملImpact of Auxins on Vegetative Propagation through Stem Cuttings of Couroupita guianensis Aubl.: A Conservation Approach
The present study explores the potential of exogenous auxins in the development of adventitious shoots and roots from shoot cuttings of Couroupita guianensis (Nagalingam), a threatened tree. Experiments were conducted to assess the effect of various concentrations of auxins on shoot and root morphological traits of stem cuttings in the greenhouse. Amongst the auxins tested, significant effects ...
